Picture of Roy Orbison which I'm not entirely happy with. The original drawing in my sketchbook was accompanied by the following note:

Don't be fooled by a good likeness and lots of detail – this isn't that great a drawing. I have a tendency to elongate figures and I've done that here. Hatching on the left shoulder (his right) is not so good.

Addition of colour has improved what is a very flawed illustration but still, I might have to make another attempt at this...

I appear to have given Ellie a bit of a 'trout pout' in this image, which she may or may not have. I think her head was squashed up against the car seat she was in, which squished her cheeks and forced her lips up and out. At least, that's my defence against any accusation of clumsy observational skills...

I was in an incredibly boring meeting the other day and I decided it would be a much better use of my time if I did some of that there draw-ring whilst I was there. So I did. Erm, that's it.

It's my birthday! But I don't care! I've got a baby! And I've drawn some pictures or her! Some are quite bad likenesses! But I don't care! 'Cos I've got a baby! (etc. repeat until adrenalin runs out)
