british museum


























A page from my current sketchbook detailing a recent visit to the British Museum. I spent a lot of time in the 'Mexico' room photographing the sculptures I found there. Drawings were made back at home from this reference material...

Damn you sir, with your obscure cinematic references. Rondo WHO? I had to go scuttling off to Google Image to educate myself. A wasted youth, Mr Shelton (yours, not mine).

Obscure cinema/comics reference, in fact. My first awareness of Mr Hatton was when Brian Bolland drew him into a Judge Dredd story in the '70s (or possibly early '80s).
