rock'n'roll portraits



...and here's the complete set. Overall, I'm fairly happy with the results, though I think one or two of the images need to be recoloured. The pastel shades I used in the background were slowly abandoned for more vivid colours and some of the early portraits I made don't look so good alongside the more recent drawings. I'm thinking about getting them printed up as larger individual prints or as a set of postcards, each with a short biography on the back. I've also made a series of full-figure drawings of some of the people depicted above but I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with them yet. It may be that these are formatted in a similar way to the soul stars I drew last year

They look great together.
They remind me of Robert Crumb's yearbook portraits.
For some reason I think they'd look good as a teatowel... maybe I'm being influenced by your blog title.
