light drawing
The group of students I'm with on Wednesdays had a workshop on light drawing this week. Rachel, a PGCE student who had organised the lesson, took the group down to the darkroom where she had set up digital cameras with long exposures. Then using torches covered with the coloured cellophane wrappers from Quality Street chocolates (!), she got them to make drawings in response to music she had playing. It was a really fun session. The students were really engaged and came up with some interesting responses. Naturally, I couldn't resist having a go myself...
