Mosaic mask of Quetzalcoatl drawn during a recent visit to the British Museum.

Too much emphasis on hatching and not enough on the mosaic tiles – something I tried to remedy when I coloured the drawing. I drew random four-sided objects in Photoshop and then made custom brushes of these to try and capture the irregular shape of the tiles used on the original mask.

... and on that farm he had some pigs ...

... one relatively normal pig and one disembodied phantasm that floated around the farmyard scaring visitors and generally making a nuisance of itself.

... and on that farm he had some cows ...

... one of which was singing Different Drum.

... and on that farm he had some chicks ...

Well, a chick (singular)...

... and on that farm, he had a horse ...

And the horse wasn't singing Biffy Clyro. Or anything else for that matter.

Old Macdonald. Or the Ginger Butcher as he's affectionately known around these parts. For some reason, he's singing a Biffy Clyro song – it must have been on iTunes as I was drawing.
